#46525, "anyone with SFMU in engine bay on 97 and up 2gnt..."

Hey guys, well I'm trying to install my SFMU in my engine bay.. now i have the star kit so I know that I will have to run a return line under the car and take out the fpr and what not.
my question is this.. I don't have really a means to get to a parts store once my car is taken appart, so i would like to have pretty much everything ready to go.

What adapters, AN fittings and what not did you guys use to mate your fuel rail test port to the SFMU and then for the set up on the return line back to the tank.
I know the HRC kit comes with a return fuel line.. well I have STAR (was thinking of using break lines for under the car)so any suggestions with what fittings I would need would be great thanks.

For the return line I just used aluminum hardline and zip tied it to the stock hardlines. It's connected to the SFMU with a flare accepting AN fitting. Then at the tank I clamped a small section of rubber fuel line to the hard line and the nipple on the tank.

Did you use like brake line for the return?

Shit is all apart. Typical...

no.. found a place here in town where I could buy some SS fuel lines and some an fittings to do the whole set up and hook up the FMU to the fuel rail...
very nice pieces, but pretty expensive.. over all I spent $130 on everything.. but I will have enough line to make a pretty nice set up.. hehe.
break line will work.. i just could not figure an easyway to mate the line to the fmu and then to the fuel rail and then to the rubber hose going back into the tank.

if you want more info on the exact items I purchased.. let me know...

I just installed my SFMU in my 98 engine bay today. i put it to the left of the passenger side headlight. there was a nice open space with nothing there so I connected the hoses and crammed it in. its in there pretty solid and i have easy access to all the ports and adjustment bolts. i can take a pic if you'd like.

i like it there.
