#45992, "Should I bid on this?"

Hey guys, I'm sloooooowwwwly starting to collect parts for my setup. I just got a td05 ($100 and only 30k on it!!) and I just found this manifold on ebay. Since I'm not as versed in turbo applications as I'd like to be, I need some feedback on it before I go for it. TIA

NO! i have been told by a guy who is fluent with neons, says that you cant put a neon manifold on a eclipse engine, even though the engine codes are the same. if you look at his ebay name, you can see he had it on a neon... now it looks like a good manifold, but you would be risking it if you bought it... Just my .02

anyone ever thought of a drive-thru parts store? that would be cool!

Why the hell could you not use this manifold? The Engine codes are the same becuase they are the SAME engine. There are a few differences, hence if you look at a neon engine bay, they are flipped backwards. so you are going to have different header design and what not. You will still have the same bolt pattern. Looking at this I dont see why it wouldn't work...

Looks like it will fit to me...Just be warned, that you may have to modify it to fit correctly. Turbo may sit to high, too close to your radiator....ect...ect..
O yea almost forgot your original question. I wouldn't pay more than 175+shipping on it...

It looks like it will fit just fine to me. You may need to take it to a welder and have the turbo flange replaced or re-angled though. The head bolt pattern looks the same and it looks like a VERY sturdy manifold. Ofcoarse I don't know for a fact if it will work or not but just by eye-balling it, it looks great!

The problem w/ neon turbo mnaifolds is they place the turbo on the wrong side. They put the turbo where our coolant neck, radiator hose, power steering

I realize this guys name has neon in it, but the bolt pattern looks like it places the turbo on the driver side, which is fine for our cars...double check that tho, if im thinking of the bolt pattern backwards then it will place the turbo on the passenger side and then you have the usual problem w/ neon manifolds.

The manifold I had that looked just like that sold for 295 shipped. They are in demand, I had that auction weeks ago and I still get emails from people asking where to get a manifold at.

It's listed as an Eclipse/Sebring/Avenger manifold, not for Neons. Like Ryan said, Neon manifolds put the turbo on the wrong side. That one puts the turbine is in a nice spot - across from cyl 3. Looks like a good manifold to me.

yah, that manifold seems right. i got a STAR turbo manifold and the outlet is around the 3rd cylinder. and the 420A, they are basically the same, same block, same head...all chrysler. i bought my Wiseco Forged piston that was marked "420A Neon" fits perfectly in my eclipse, and running perfectly emoji

p.s. are you going to be using an internal wastegate? cause the manifold doesnt have a flange and outlet for an external wastegate. better check your checklist to see what kind of setup you're goin to be running.
