#45987, "new turbo system"

I was talking to a speed shop in NC and they were telling me that a company called TURBO SPECIALIST or something like that was coming out with a turbo for the 420A and i was wondering if anyone has heard anything else about this or even the company. cause i can order the kit tomorrow cause i know the people at the shop and at a low cost. I want the HRC but they can not get it at there discount cause they do not have a deal with they. but if anyone has heard about this kit let me know before i order it. Or hell i'll be the damn test dummy. thanks to everyone on this site you all have helped me out a lot and i hope to God you call can do it again.

sorry it took a while for me to respond my computer is screwed up. But its a little shop in mooresville. and its the turbo specialty kit. its only 1755 but thats my cost cause i get deals with them. the kit comes with a garett turbo cast iron manifold all lines hoses and everthing else that you need. Just like the HRC stage 1 kit its no IC and only has 5PSI but they have FMI for sale for cheap. the kit is not out for sale yet. but as soon as it comes out i'll let you all know how it is and everything and how it runs and everything else. all right if you have any more information just post respond and i'll get it some time.

I say go for it. Atleast it is something new. Just be weary of the parts they use though. One thing I like about HRC/Star is the fact that they have been tested, and proven to work. I guess I can't really complain as a bolt on turbo kit is a bolt on turbokit.

Let us know what they use, and maybe we can suggest what is good and bad.

first off raleigh is about 2 and a half hours from statesville where i live and to get to mooresville you got to go thru statesville and thats a nother 25 minute drive so about 2 and a half hours and if you are for real you can meet up with and i'll show you how to get there, I went up there today and the kit comes out at the end of the month. HELL YEAH ILL GET IT. hell what do i have to lose? oh yeah a blown motor. but the thing about the star kit true it might be cheaper. ok before i start I dont want anyone to think i'm talking shit what i am about to say comes from marcus at speed styles so if you have any beef call him. cause i dont want any shit talking to me. But he said that the star kit is a piece of shit. He knows cause he had one. he now has a 10 second eclipse in the 1/4 putting out 500whp. so he talked me in not to getting that. Speed Styles will not even order that kit. But back to topic as soon as i get that kit i'll let you all know how it is. any more information let me know. I'm going back to that shop on wend and they are giving me a list of everthing that actually comes with the kit. and if anyone will be nice enough to let me know what internals i need. as far as holding reliable boost cause its my daily driver and i start school at UTI in nov so i'm going to driving it enough. thanks again.

Damn thats a long ass drive, lol. Well let me know what components are in the kit man, Im currently just saving my pennies and weighing options. As far as your internals go, if you want to make it stand up to the abuse you plan on giving it, generally if you want to run anymore than 7-8psi all you would need are a set of forged pistons (JE, Weisco) and rods (Crower, Eagle, Pauter(sp)), with that it should take a lot of dumb mistakes to blow it. But while your doing all of those changes you might as well consider doing the timing belt if you havent yet, and keep in mind that you will have a lot of gaskets that you need to buy as well, so it will add up rather quickly.

uhm, the star kit is not that bad. Ive been running mine for over a year now at 8 psi w/o problems , depends on the person i guess. He has a 420 a running tens? or is it a 4g63? I thought Hahn had the fatests eclipse. Oh well, I say go for it too. One more kit on the market can only mean good things...excluding that NER inccident.
