OK guys im gona need your input here. My new engine should be here in about 2-3 weeks. Now that I am going to be able to handle more boost im gona need more fuel. I have done alot of reading on the different fuel setup options and I am leaning toward the 8 injector set up concidering I have 30#injectors, extra manafold, and an extra fuel rail. Also I have heard alot of good things about it. I am looking to run arround 12-15 psi Which setup does everyone Prefer?TIA

What can I say?

I'm running 8 injectors and have been for probably about 6-7 months now. I'm very pleased with it and haven't needed to look back at all. A great feature of it, for me, is that my highway gas mileage hasn't been effected a bit, nor has my idle. On top of that, I have no closed loop fuel trim issues.

I'm not saying that the other setups do or do not. I do know though, that using larger injectors and SAFC's/SFMU's will have some idle issues, if you do not understand how to tune or have a datalogger handy. And even with that, using such large injectors will limit the ecu's range of adjustability at idle through occupying a smaller portion of the allowable fuel trim range.

Each setup is going to have some pro's and cons for sure. For example, the 8 injector setup, although is relatively inexpensive in terms of parts, will take a good deal of customization and a bit more resourcefulness for its setup. I hardly recommend going with this setup if you're not comfortable with pulling off your intake manifold and understanding the proper placement of a second fuel rail, and feeling capable of acquiring the appropriate fuel fittings to make all of this work.

Four injector setups will require much less of that being much easier to setup, whilst taking into account some of the tuning issues I related above.

So, as with anything, you have to to understand strengths and weaknesses of each setup.
