Stock boost depends on what turbo you run emoji I think (i could be wrong im rusty on this) the 1Gs with the 14b's ran around 12psi, the t25s were a little higher at around 13-14psi as its a smaller turbo. Im sure that a 4g63 is capable of 20psi, but youd need fuel mods for that much boost. I know most turbo guys run 16-17psi with upgraded IC pipes.

This needs to be in the 4G63 forum. Please follow the rules.

The stock boost on a 1g is around 10 and 12-14 on a 2G (depending on many variables). Max boost is a silly question to ask. It all depends on how much money you want to spend.

i think on a 1g engine you can run up to 24lbs on stock internals, on the 2g 19lbs. the 1gen engine has stronger internals than the 2g.

Doesnt the 2g have better pistons or rods or something? I remember hearing about the 6bolt owners swapping 7bolt parts.

Never heard of running 24 psi on a stock turbo. The engine could handle it but I dont think a stock turbo is meant to run that much boost. Especially on an older car where the turbo is 10+ years old. I got to see the fastest Eclipse/Talon running a stock turbo and he only ran 21psi-22psi in his 1G. Put down 260 WHP and 275Tor I believe. Ran a 12.015 1/4 mile. Thats amazing cause its a stock turbo but o yeah I forgot to mention he is from Extreme. Car is such a sleeper when u pop the hood. Guess the gutted interior and the "Countdown to 11 seconds" sticker on his window might get your attention.

emoji This stuff is asked once a week on this board...

Both 1G and 2G engines can run about 25psi on the stock internals. You just need the supporting mods and race gas to do it. A friend of mine ran 11.4 on a stock 7 bolt bottom end with his 96 TSi AWD with 24psi.
