Here is where i'm at: I can 1. get a N2O kit (50- 75 shot) now, upgrade my inernals in about 6 months, and get a HRC stage 2 in about a year, or 2. Get a HRC stage 2 now, and hope my motor lasts until I can get the cash to upgrade my internals (dont know how long that will be, could be up to a year.)

I've been doing alot of research on both turbo and nitrous, and understand the pros and cons of both, so i'm really looking for the wisest choice, or the choice that will have less "surprises" since im going to be away from home. Opinions, as always, are appreciated

Assuming you have good compression, go stage 2 now, do it right - boosting relatively low (6-7psi), use proper fuel equipment (SFMU and Missing Link) and tune ruch. Then upgrade internals when you can afford it.

For the sake of argument, I'm going to argue the other side.

Your first way sounds just fine. Just get a wet kit though because it'll work with the turbo when you get it later. Getting nitrous first lets you have fun and lets you rebuild your engine earlier.

With the built engine you can hit higher shots of nitrous safely too while you're saving for the turbo.

Riding around after rebuild with lowered compression before the turbo isn't that bad of a loss either, especially when you can safely spray a larger shot. One compression point is only like 4% loss in hp.

Just think about it in the long run, built internals running 12+ psi AND a 50 wet shot? Mmm.. speed.

Heh, but personally i'd get turbo first. It's too hard to concentrate on boost and spray at the same time.

Does anyone remember the picture where the kid blew up his garage, because he hardwired the bottle heater and the bottle exploded. Even though it was a freak accident, that is what turned me off to N20. I just wouldn't feel comfortable with something that voltile sitting in my trunk.

Woah I want to see that picture. And yeah, N20 should not be thrown into the trunk of a daily driver IMO. More like something that should be installed for track runs.

well under those cicumstances I'd just get the turbo now and upgrade internals whenever but only because I wouldn't want to be waiting and dreaming about a turbo for a whole year! If the time line was shorter I'd say upgrade internals 1rst then get turbo. screw the nitrous, not because its gonna blow your car up but because U can have turbo so why go nitrous? You can damage your internals with that just like a turbo so no point of going nitrous 1rst to hold you over. If your life will end as you know it if you blow your engine do the interals 1rst, shit can happen.
