#45025, "Vortech SFMU & Cartech fpr bleed valve the same?"

Hey guys, after i get this new motor in im going to have to install my vortech sfmu also. It dosent have the bleeder valve on it, but im curious is it the same as the one that came from hrc with my stage 2 kit? I dont have the car right now to try it out. And if i need to order it for the sfmu I want to do that asap so i can get my baby back on the road. thanks!

Yes, they are the same. (Note: given that you're referring to the bleeder valve on the NON-billet Cartech; The billet one incorporates a bleeder valve that's actually part of the body, rather than the previous version's plumbed on one)

ack! yes i have the billet on methinks. looks like a UFO. this one: http://www.cartech.net/fmu2020.htm . But the bleeder on it dosent look like the one in the photos, its a gold color. Im going to have to see if it comes off or not when i get a chance.

Yep, I installed that one on Ryan's before we changed it to the Vortech unit. The Cartech Billet model has a different bleeder valve. It won't work.

Actually, it costs $1783 if you factor in the cost of a rebuild. emoji
