What kind of ratio does the cartech billet fmu have?
One of my friends is going to turbo his cavalier and needs a fmu. I told him I have an extra one, since I bought the Vortech unit. So hes probably going to buy it from me. How much are these things? How much would you sell it for?

Allegedly, it has a wide ratio adjustability, anywhere from 2:1 to 10:1. I would disagree with that estimate though, with something closer to 5:1 to 8:1 perhaps. The adjustability is also largely in question in my mind as well.

About $150 new, IIRC.

If I had one, I'd sell it for as much as I could so I could use that cash to buy a Vortech SFMU. You may be able to get one for $50- $100 though.

Not to be in too much defense of the cartech unit because I do know that alot of people have had "issues" with them. But I can honestly say that my CAST unit has never ever failed to give me anything but steady fuel pressure, warm or cold. I can walk out there right now and get the same pressure as when I drive for hours... BUT>......the vortech unit is a MUCH better product. I will never disagree with that statement. Truth is I probaly just got one of the better units.
O yea cartech says it can go as LOW as 1:1. Don't know about how high it can but I did email them for how low it can go.
