"Oh, he forgot to include that the emanage/profec setup apparently keeps the wastegate 100% closed until it needs to open. Even tho he's using the same exact actuator setup the car has instant full boost. INSTANT FULL BOOST."
Now that sounds like fun. is thier any way to do that without that setup? Is thier some kind of backwards wastegate actuator? or a way to hook it up backwards so that it would function like this? I have seen people squeak thier tires going into 3rd. I could never do that seeing as how my turbo is not spooled at that point. Mabye they had this hookup! any ideas? if im being an idiot just say, yo derek your an idiot, bugger off! thanks

most ball and spring manual boost controllers are pretty good at not letting the pressure signal get to the wastegate until the desired boost level is achieved.

Cool, i just built one. Ill probably install it this weekend. Is it ok to get a feed from the turbine housing? Or should I tap into the BOV line? does it matter? thanks

i personally don't really trust the compressor housing nipple to much, i'd much rather use the vacuum ports on the intake manifold...it will keep things more accurate and you'll know exactly what your engines seeing instead of whats lost between the turbo and the throttle body...if your bov source is coming off the mani then t off of that, should work out fine for ya

I T'ed off my BOV line to my wastegate actuator. I have a stage 2 from HRC that is supposed to run 8 psi. But its been running 6psi ever since i installed it. So i took it for a test drive, it started to go a bit over 6 and then i sounded like my engine was backfireing and the boost level would go back down. I have never heard it do that!! So i hooked it back up the way it was from HRC and its working fine again. WEIRD! any ideas whats up?

your going to have a few psi of boost drop with a fmic etc. i would get all vacuum from the intake manifold. i would not T it from the bov. try that and let us know what happens man. cool

shit. I hooked it back up and it seems to be running fine now. Still at 6 psi. Im going to hook up my home depot MBC tomarrow. I think the problem is from something else. It is running weird, then the CEL pops on and it runs ok. I have not check the code yet, but im sure its an egt issue. Would that make it run bad? Im going to replace the cilinoid and if thats not it ill check the valve. the CEL always stresses me out. i just want my car to be happy! thanks for the help dude. ill post my findings!
