ok i'm trying to take this sfmu apart i took the 6 allen heads out but it won't open so i can inspect the inside. i don't want to pry from the middle cause i might screw up the disc. i hit it slightly with a rubber mallet and it won't crack loose. am i missing something here i made sure the spring allen was backed out but still nothing..... TIA

No you aren't missing anything. Those six allen bolts are the only thing holding it together. Mine was hard to get apart the first time too. Just smack it some more. Make sure you don't pry in the crack though because there is a diaphram/gasket in there that will rip easy.

try tightening the top adjustment screw in. This will put pressure on the two halves of the sfmu. Just be careful though, you dont want parts to start flying out. Also, dont bottom out the adjustment screw. And the hammer method will work also

mine popped right off as soon as the last allen screw came off. like he said, there isnt anything holding it on once those screws are out.. i hope your unit isnt damaged somehow.
