The countdown is on and I have a little under 2 weeks before my turbo kit gets installed. Im excited, but pretty nervous at the same time. I want it on very bad, but afraid something might happen Im confident that the install will go smoothly, but its just that Ive been reading too much on here and dsmtuners that its making me paranoid. haha. Im pretty sure Im prepared and have everything I need. But heres my list....
Had the 60k maintence done about 8000 miles ago Compression test results - 205/210/205/210 (did this before I bought the kit and last week) HRC stage 2 w/fmic and greddy type-s bov (went through every box and made sure everything was there) Vortech s-fmu with hard spring and adaptor kit Missing Link Ngk plugs (1 range colder than stock) Magnacor wires Energy suspension motor mounts Hks type 1 us spec turbo timer w/harness and extension (not here yet) Autometer gauges - 30/30 boost, egt w/probe, elect. fuel pressure, voltmeter, oil pressure Gadgetsellar.com digital a/f gauge Autometer cluster bezel and a-pillar gauge pod
Stock internals and stock exhaust w/ aftermarket muffler
So what do you think? Should I be ok? Should I get anything else before the install (not much time/money though)? Should I get anything else after its installed? I know this subjuect has been discuseed several times, and I have gathered lots of info from them, but I wanted people to respond to ME. Its just not the same reading someone else's responses. Only because these are the final preps towards a HUGE step for me. Thank you!

Perfectly normal - we've all felt that before. It lasts about 5 seconds once the install is done and you feel it for the first ime - after that, you're left with the big "shit eating boost grin" that doesn't go away for a month or so. You'll see.

Goodluck man! you wont regret it. I'd get a catback exhaust, at stage 2 boost levels you will need bigger than stock pipeing. www.TeamKLR.com 1997 Silver RS 12.3@118mph,20psi, race gas(drag radials) Wiseco 10.5 Pistons Eagle Rods T3/T4 Turbo Custom FMIC Greddy Exhaust 440's

I still remember my shit-faced grin.
I still like driving with my windows open as much as possible just to hear that ridiculously loud spooling noise our cars make, when turbo'ed. I don't really have words to accurately describe the additional power you'll feel after you have the turbo in, after being n/a for so long, even with only 5 bs.
