Im running a inline pump right now and bout to install a intak one do i need to rewire the intak pump are can i run it to the stock pump. Thanks

you can use the wiring for the stock pump, but it has been proven beneficial to rewire it using a relay. check the main mods board for fuel pump rewire if you need more info.

I would never use the stock fuel pump wiring to run a new intank/inline high pressure fuel pump. The stock wiring is just not meant to carry the higher current demand of the new fuel pump. You can use a normal 12v SPST, or SPDT relay, available at radio shack, or a alarm/stereo shop. You can wire the relay by the back seat, right by the access port under the rear seat. Take a 10 gauge power wire, connect it to the + battery terminal, and fuse it within 12 inches of the battery. Run this wire to the rear seat, where you will be connecting your relay. Wire it like this:

On the underside of the relay you will find these numbers by the pins:

# 85- take a wire and put it to ground.
# 86- connect a wire to this pin, and tap off of the stock fuel pump
wire, the black wire, with a blue stripe. This will activate
your relay.
# 87- Connect your battery wire you ran to this pin
# 30- This will be the + output going to the + terminal to your new
pump. Connect the new fuel pump's ground at the same place you did for pin #85. Be SURE to make a good, clean ground connection, and DONT use the stock fuel pump ground wire. I like to get my grounds on bare chassis metal. You can do that right on the metal under the rear seat. Just get all the paint off the metal, and use a ring termial on your ground wire, and screw it down good. Be sure to use the same 10 gauge ground wire for your new fuel pump also.

If you are talking about the stock fuel pump wiring, the black/blue wire is the +, and the other wire (i forget which color) is the - .. i think its a black wire..

how much current do aftermarket fuel pumps draw? b/c that's kinda important when you pick your relay. make sure the contacts are rated to handle the amount of current the pump is drawing or it's gonna defeat the purpose of adding the relay... (the relay itself is gonna be the weak link in your power line)
