i know, i'm turning this nitrous board into my own personal chat room but... i read in one of your posts below that you have no pressure gauge, but you do have a bottle heater. how the hell do you know when your bottle pressure is too low or too high? i am still shocked that a bottle pressure gauge doesn't come in the kit. i probably need one, huh? but that would do me no good unless i had a bottle heater to change the pressure. guess i need one of those too. do you have a blowdown tube? is one neccessary?

The blow down tube is necessary if you plan on making any runs at a NHRA/IHRA sanctioned drag strip... i run at bristol dragway, so i have to have one. all it does is release pressure if your bottle pressure gets too high, but it would have to be INSANELY high to use the "blow-off" valve...and about the bottle heater, the NOS bottle heater heats to 85 degrees(the optimal temp)then shuts off automatically i believe...and my NX heater turns on at 900 and off at 1050(long as its turned on that is) so you dont NEED a pressure gauge to know its ok if you use one of these two heaters, but i have one just to be safe. i know im not DA MAN(Stan.. ) but i hope i helped a little at least.

Just what he said. 80deg=865psi, 97deg=1069psi 60deg=675psi, 40deg=520psi. So if the heaters are working right or the outside temp is 80+deg pressure will be right. I suppose if your interior reaches ungodly heat levels pressure could reach above optimum but in my 4yrs I've never had a problem with too much heat.
