kit's installed, but it seems like there's lag when i drive now. could it be low fuel pressure? i haven't filled the bottle yet, but everything is installed.

You have a wet kit right? Fuel pressure shouldn't change when not in use (and really shouldn't change much when in use). I cant think of anything else except maybe the throttle switch inhibiting full throttle or kinking on the cable.
