correct me if i'm wrong, but the instructions say DON'T use any sealant on "AN" type connections, only NPT connections. the only NPT connection my kit has is on the fuel line. (from the rail to the solenoid.) should i paste both ends?

No you should not paste the AN type fittings. However all fittings into and out of the solinoids should not be "AN" fitting and should be pasted. I dont know about other kits but NOS brand has a nitrous filter that threads into the nitrous solinoid. the main line connects to the other end of the filter. The main nitrous line has "AN" fitting on both ends and should not be pasted but the end of the filter that goes into the solinoid is regular thread fitting and should be pasted). No paste should be used where the lines thread into the fogger nozzle and no paste should be used on the main nitrous line. These are where the AN fittings are (the fuel line from the rail to the solinoid should be pasted on both ends).
