This is a Sportsman Fogger dry kit where there is a fuel/nitrous nozzles per each intake port, then they all plumb back to the fuel/nitrous solenoid.

I have forged pistons and rods so I can handle the extra power (plus ability to use bigger injectors). And plus with the I4 there is tons of room to have the plumbing done right behind the injector entrance in the lower intake. (basically between the head and the upper intake manifold).

Price: 616.07 from carparts.com. or even better...

NOS-05030FI Sportsman Fogger Kit, 4-cyl fuel injected applications $501.69 from summit!

More info at www.nosnitrous.com/HiOctn...ogger.html

Its the kit everyone longs for (but nobody wants to install). Get it. Its direct port but not dry however (you already have upgraded fuel pump/regulator, you wont need larger injectors unless you still plan on throwing a turbo on there too).

I've heard issues about how these direct port kits may puddle fuel/nitrous because when its spraying, it is not in sync with the valve so it still sprays when the intake valve is closed? Is this such a big issue?

Also is there a danger of the fuel solenoid failing and then only spraying nitrous? or if the fuel solenoid fails the nitrous shuts off and vice versa?

Thanks gain for the info.

Interesting theory but I have NEVER heard that one before. Wouldn't the same apply to any wet kit (single fogger too) as they spray constant fuel also. There certainly isn't a puddling issue with any direct port set up.

Yeah there's a danger. If the fuel solinoid fails during a run your screwed. No way around it on wet kit. No such device exist (how would it determine a mechanical failure and react. if it were an electrical failure once power it lost it will snap shut anyway).

Heh Stan seems like we are following eachother back and forth here and asog.net emoji I appreciate your help. I plan on making my purchase early next week.

Here's another thought..

is it possible to monitor the nitrous/fuel pressure on the s/s line between the solenoid and the nozzle?

One could rig something up that if the pressure drops below a certain level on the fuel s/s line, it would immediately shut the power off from the nitrous solenoid....

I was surfing around again and noticed the "high octane" forum over there. I really like the concept as you can go directly to hardcore mods.

I've seen quite a few direct port set ups with a fuel pressure and nitrous pressure gauge mounted at the assembly under the hood. but if you want(electrical) gauges in the car where you can see them why not use a regular electrical fuel prussure gauge with the sender tee'd off the test port. Thats the same place fuel is directed to your nitrous fuel line. Autometer has a nitrous pressure gauge for a pillar mounting.

I would assume you could put either at any suitable place you could put in a tee

Yeah but what i mean by having a fuel pressure gauge is between the solenoid and the nozzle so that if fuel prssure drops from the fuel solenoid failing.

Thanks and its good to have some knowledgeable people visit the asog octane forum =)

fit a tee to the output of the solinoid and run the sender on the top of it and the line from the other end of the tee. The dual solinoid is a good idea (a little paranoid but one that would work).
