Alright, tonight I talked to a guy about getting a nitrous setup. He told me he would help me set it up if I attained the parts. Well, I know a guy that can get me the parts I need, but I need some info first.
First off, I refuse to buy a $500 kit from some company -- he can build mine himself with the parts. It's pretty basic so I've heard. I have a '97 Mitsu Eclipse RS, with Iceman CAI. I just want to run a simple 60 shot, which I've heard my stock internals can handle.
Could you explain to me what parts I would needa and also just roughly explain how N02 works? As far as where fuel line and bottle heating and everything goes. I'd appreciate it, thanks in advance.

I'm no expert and have about 10min before I have to carry my ass to work but here:

Yeah its pretty basic but the individual parts aren't all that cheap if buying them new. For example a 10lb bottle alone is $180. If you can get a used one this is where you can really save. anyway this is what you need for a wet kit from the bottle forward nitrous side first:
Nitrous side:10lb Bottle ($180) and brackets($?), Long braided high pressure main feel line ($50 at least),Nitrous filter ($?) Nitrous solinoid ($75) and bracket to mount it), short braided line ($35), Jet ($?), Fogger nozzle ($30)
Fuel side: short braided line ($35), fuel solinoid ($65) and bracket to mount it, short braided line ($35), Jet ($?) into same fogger nozzle.
Electrical: microswitch ($15), activation switch and wires ($cheap).
As you can see buying all new parts seperately is no bargain. Most of these prices are straight from the summit catalog or what I've payed in replacement parts. Just what I listed cost $515 and I didn't have prices for everthing (all NOS brand parts). Only a bargain if you have some parts here and there already or catch some deals on used parts.
also >just roughly explain how N02 >works? Easy: the bottle is under pressure. the fuel system is under pressure. solinoids closed pressure contained. Once opened pressure from bottle pushes nitrous through the lines into the engine. fuel side works same way. Jets in the nozzle regulate how much get into the engine. nitrous is 36% O2 which seperates from nitrogen under heat/combustion for your engine to utilize. Just add fuel. Since its cold as hell it cools the incoming charge 65 degress F.
As far as >where fuel line and bottle >heating and everything goes. nitrous lines start at the bottle and end up at the nozzle. fuel lines start at the fuel rail and end up at on the other side of the same nozzle. Parts are in in oder of where they go above. Heater goes around bottle to heat it and keep pressure at 900psi.
Gotta go later.
