#43745, "NOS kit problems"

I'm new here and I'd like to start off by expressing how awsome it is to find a site dedicated to the NT's. Anywhoo...I was wondering if any of you guys have had any problems with your NOS kits, such as missing parts and/or parts that were just plain manufactured wrong?

Here's a story:

Well, I ordered my NOS kit from Summitracing.com and when it came in I noticed that I was missing various pieces. It was almost as if they had left out an entire packet of parts, which was weird because the kit comes nicely packaged in that shrink wrap. I was missing the nossle, all 3 nitrous jets, the fuel jet, and two of the brass pipe fittings. So, I called summit and they gladly agreed to ship me the nossle and all 4 jets(bought the brass pieces from local shop) that i needed (overnight and sat. delivery!) for free. The next day I waited until around 10am for the overnight package and guess what? The nossle and only 1 jet ships. But thats not all......the jet is BLANK. Its not drilled out. So, I go ahead and put the kit on without the jets emoji Eventually I notice one other thing wrong with the kit. The bracket that held the selinoids was drilled out completely wrong. So, after drilling that out CORRECTLY and a lot of headache, I finally have me a nitrous kit, minus the jets, installed on my 95 RS. Isn't until Tuesday of the next week that I get the jets in and finally get to feel the NOS kick.

Anyone else have any similar experiences with this or was it just a fluke? I plan on ordering many more NOS products, so I just wanted to be assured that they CAN get it right. In the end(and after a lot of aggrivation) it was all worth it.

I had the same problem. When I ordered my kit I ordered a wet kit. But they sent a dry kit. And that wont work on dsm's over 96. And even the dry kit was missing parts. I guess the people who put the packages together just don't care sometimes.
