#43267, "NOS with a turbo"

I am preparing to turn my 97 GS into a HRC Stage V Super 20G turbo monster but i want to make the car even faster. Will I be able to run like 100shot nos or something and not worry about boosting my car too much? Also are there any other parts i would need to buy to make sure this doesn't happen? Is it a stupid idea to put nos in with a turbocharger? Must... make... 10 seconds...! Has anyone with a Stage IV or V Turbosystem used NOS in their cars?

it could be done but its a lot more risky and requires more tuning. If i had spent all the money on stage5 i woulnd't take the risk personally, unless you're sponsored or making a lot of money racing and can afford to blow multiple motors.
Whats' the deal with everybody and 10 secs these days, you can't even enjoy your car if its a 10 sec car, except when you're workin on it or during the 10 secs that you're racing

Maybe not a FWD eclipse. Without race fuel and slicks its just a 12 or 13sec car anyway. But If its a Supra TT you dont even have to give up any comfort.

I believe 10 was the magic number in the fast and the furious. I'd be pretty damn happy with 12 personally, hell i'm almost completely stock... I'd be happy with 15.

Murix and Hahn both run a dry shot controlled by the DFI. If you are going stage 5 it should be a breeze (one dry line, nitrous trigger signal to the DFI and the rest is programming). Finding traction should be more difficult.

If you want 10's, then go for it, but make sure you have rebuild money laying around... I have the Stage V system Hahn offers, and I have a NOS fogger system. Tell you the truth, I have the kit 1/2 way installed, and havent desired to install it the rest of the way...not yet that is... You'd be surprised how good 28psi feels, another 100shot of NOS would only be good in 3rd and 4th gear cause traction is a bitch. My DFI was programmed by Bill's crew for the NOS, but probably wont be put to the test until next season. Until I have rebuild money or another engine.

I agree with Brad. Armond has the same setup as Brad and I am running NOS on mine. It is way down the line. Do not bother with NOS right now. It can be done though using the DFI to control it very easily.
