Hi. I just got my Eclipse (1996 RS all stock except K&N Filter) and I am considering a nitrous kit. I have a few questions I was hoping you guys could help me out with.
1.How much power can my engine handle without damage? 2.What is a good resonable kit to buy?(I only want 75hp gain) 3.What is the difference between a wet and a dry kit? 4.Will I need to add anything to my engine before I install the kit? 5.When you have Nitrous install how do you go about using it? Just press a button or do you have to open bottles, etc.

1.75shot (= to ~75hp) 2.the cheapest, nx or nos, its the same...nitrous is nitrous 3.wet add's fuel w/ the n2o the n2o and fuel line goes into the same fogger and sprayes into the intake before the throttlebody 4.no 5.you have to have the bottle opened so the lines are full of nitro and so the gas can keep pumping thru. actually its a liquid in the bottle, but thats besides the point. either way, you can set it up so that it either is just a button or a switch, doesn't matter. MINE works like this: open bottle, hit switch, and i'm off. it is now armed. there is a switch on the throttle so the system won't start working unless i'm at full throttle. then SOMEHOW the people who installed it set it so that it would only shoot above 3400rpms (which is a good idea). once those conditions are met, my tires are a squeelin.
