#43078, "Car is wrecked. What to do with Nitrous mod?"

My car is likely totaled. emoji I got slammed from the passenger side last night. Before I take my car for an estimate should I un-install the Nitrous Oxide system that I installed last month? I've only used two bottles and I want it if they total the car (unless they paid me for it, I have receipts).

Also, my bottle valve was fully open and my nitrous line is run along the passenger side. The line busted and all of the N2O vented into the atmosphere. WHEW!

That's what I was thinking too. I'm definetely taking the bottle out right now, but I'd hate to have to re-install the Nitrous system if the car is repairable.

What about the rest of my mods? Do you think I should put the intake, plug wires, etc. back to stock "just incase"?

You should at least take it out and see what is all damaged on the kit.

I suggest taking off/returning to stock whatever you want to keep just in case the car is totaled. Some insurance companies won't let you take anything off the car after they consider it totaled unless you buy it back from them. (ours wouldn't) We kind of put off calling them because we had so many parts to take off.
