Okay question for nitro experts(and you all know who you are) what in the blue hell is the diff between 4an and 6an adapters in terms of gauges and purge kits for nitro kits. Which one does the nx kit or nos kit use 4an or 6an..... just would like to know before I order... oh one last question do I neet to buy some kind of tube to run the pressure gauge from the bottle to the cock pit of car? In other words what do I need to run gauges in the cockpit..

4an is smaller than 6an. i beleive the 6an is higher pressure, 4an lower.

they both use them i think. the 6an are for the bigger lines like pressure lines from the tank to the solenoid. the 4an are for less pressure like from the solenoid out to the nozzle.

the bottle mount gauge is for the bottle, if you want a pressure gauge in the cockpit you should by one from autometer.com. you will need about 4-6 feet of 6an(i beleive) line to run from your gauge to the main line from the tank.

That's correct, 4AN is smaller in diameter. But not necessarily for just running to the fogger. 6AN is better for a larger shot because it has a higher volume and the flow is better, being that it's a larger diameter. Either one will work. I'm running an 80 shot with 4AN lines, no problem.

In order to run an autometer gauge into the pillar, you'll need a 4AN line (that's what the Autometer gauge inlet and restrictor fitting are) of about 16 feet or so. This is assuming that your bottle is in the trunk. I ran the line along the door seam under the sill plate, near that large wiring harness running to the back of the car. The easiest way to run the hose along the side of the dash is to go from underneath, just above the fuse box. If you shine a light there, you'll see a large space, where you can also run your wiring.

If you don't already know, the number in an army-navy fitting represents the inner diameter in incriments of 1/16 of an inch. So for example, a -4AN fitting would mean the inner diameter is 4/16 of an inch, or 1/4. -6AN would be 6/16, or 3/8, -8AN would be 8/16, or 1/2, etc. Hope this helps!

Yeah I knew 4an was smaller than 6an I was just curious to which size the kit used so I would know which fitting to get when I ordered my acessories....ex purge kit... comes in 4an or 6an fittings needed to know which size i needed for the kit or if it mattered.(yeah than why do they give you options)
