Just another 420a Turbo update

Well some of you know, my car went boom, So I bought the bottem end package from HRC, So the block is in the shop and there installing the pistons, rods, and also I got new Hi-po lifters, roller rockers, and valve springs from Howell, also got a solid front motor mount, MLS gaket set, ARP head bolts,440cc, AFC, Quaife LSD(thing is small for 1175 I paid!!)Clutchmasters stage 4, new crank, and a few other things, I miss boosting and hopefully this thing can get up and move out of it's own way again. So you guys with the 440cc and bottem end upgrade, I'll be giving you a holler, laters, Wish me luck..

How did you "go boom"? Please tell me overboost or something that was caused by excessive greed.....I need to keep my boosted engine safe for at least 2 more years before I can even think about a rebuild. emoji I won't go over 5psi for now..and I am running really rich, so I should be ok.

Keep us updated on the rebuild.

Why modify an Avenger, just get an Eclipse!
Hehe, just had to say that! You know I'm kidding right?

> Roller rockers

From where dude? All I got for rockers were the updated 2001 2.4L ones....

Also, how much did a new crank cost ya?

Alright to answer all the q's that I can, well money wise, I work at Intel, no kids no wife no bills, How I went boom well to be honest I still don't know, the crank had chips all in it, teh pistons seemed to be fine and teh seals, but there was pieces of meatl all in my oil pan, cost of teh new crank, Not sure yet, I think from teh dealer they are like 350 or so but I think they have some in stock so it was 200 something I believe, The roller rockers, and lifets I got from Captain Nemo, the springs I got from Howell but teh shop said there to tight of a fit, so I need to call Howell back and see what's up. The rockers and liftes are from the 2001 PT cruisers that they are using, won't be in themopar catalog yet, just get them from Nemo. Looks like I may get teh engine back this week, we'll see, sucks being carless, oh I'll be carefull trust me, I'll be driving liek Miss daisy for awhile before I attempt to throw more boost. But I do have a Profec B that I did play around with alot, so that could of had something to do with my car blowing up, lol everybody knows 420a Avengers look better then 420a Eclipses, lol,

Eclipses Are Dead Sexy!

Back to "roller" rockers, do they really have little cylindrical pieces that turn, or is that just the 2001 rockers. 'Coz I have the 2001 rockers and they are one piece...

Just extremely curious, because I have heard of "roller" cams before (for big block Chevy engines) and I was wondering what it was. Also Crower or Crane makes roller rockers with "rollers" for Hondas...

Block is out of teh shop, it's done, now to install it back in teh Venge, also I got teh roller rockers in no probs, new hi-po lifters, Got them all from captian Nemo, I believe there from a 2001 PT cruiser, but teh springs did not go, The shop said they are to tight of a fit and may cause probs, so I left them out, any body know about this, I got teh springs from Howell and they say Mopar on them should be a direct fit....

I must apologize... my head has been fried lately (with finals and all).. Of course the rockers are "rollers"...Heck even my stock rockers are rollers....

Sorry for sounding quite redundant...

Thanks for answering though!

the mopar valve springs will work. Just make sure you get the center dampners bead blasted before installing. they are nutorious for breaking dampners and causing all kinds of problems.

Bring it on...........
