well man I don't even know about a 1/4 mi. track around our ways except in kentucky. but I've gone to lawrenceburg, huntsville, and union hill. I saw on another thread you might be close to murfreesboro if so do you remember the store pocket rockets that that guy pete had?

yeah man I hung out there a few times, there definately are alot of ricers not backing up their shit there. Pete was from my town, a damn shame someone had to rip him off like that. If you want to see ignorant street racing go to huntsville. i'll post some shit sometime to show everybody how stupid they are.

i rebuilt the bottom end and ported & polished the head. Low 13's would be around what you would run but i ran the car completely gutted weighing 2021 lbs and i ran 12.9 @ 113 mph. i retarded the timing ALOT...and ran on nitto drag radials. It helps if you know how to drive. I'm going back to get some timeslips for everyone hopefully this weekend if i get the arp head bolts in.

run 93 octane with a ocatne booster.....that should be fine. i ran race gas because i have high compression. on a stock car w/ intake and exhaust you can run a 75 shot and gut the car to run low 14's. i dont mean just taking out the seats. all the paneling, door panels, center console, spare tire and the seats have to come out. 100lbs means 1/10th of a sec.

Wait, your running 100-125 shot on high compression? What comp ratio are you running? 10.5 or 12.5?

i was runnin on 12.5:1 comp but its to hard to maintain. The timing gets retarded a whole lot. Tuning is very time consuming with that. I am now on a little over 10.5:1 comp due to port and polising of the head. Its much easier to run but without NOS its a little slower.

Do you think if you only used race fuel you would be able to run 12.5 octain easier?

If you use race fuel you will just be just less likely for detination to occur.
