what other mods? Now I don't know if I want to go with a trans swap or nitrous. I'm afraid of missing a gear and blowing up!

Nitrous will be cheaper than the tranny swap and will yield faster 1/4 miles. It's also preferred to have an AT when using nitrous. Get it man... you'll be happy! emoji

So are you guys running low/mid 14 with your systems in or with the car gutted?

when (what RPM) do you actually floor it at the track? Do you just keep it on the floor from then till the finish line?

As soon as you hit 3 grand off the starting line nail it.

Yeah, it was a 50 shot. With 17's and my system in I run consistent high 14s with an auto. Get the Nitrous man, you will not be let down.

I just got into a college and I'm paying off my car in June/July= Mo money for the ride! wahoo;) Nitrous here I come! Why did they get such crappy hp #'s? I just don't get how we could run 14's with only that much power!

Who cares as long as we slap some Honda Ass }>

Why that low of HP #'s?

Because we have 113hp stock thats why. 160-170 whp is about 200 at the crank.

That 163hp is horsepower to the wheels. Our cars have 140hp at the crank, but around 115hp to the wheels stock. With 163hp at the wheels your car will be a completely different beast all together.

Because what happens when you hit the rev limiter-

It cuts fuel to the motor. right?

LEAN air/fuel ratio's while your spraying nitrous/fuel in the motor=

Fly right past the rev limiter.

I don't think I want to test your theory.

not too sure (not a regular to the nitrous forum), but wouldn't a fuel cut result in zero fuel but nitrous being pumped in = blown engine? ask alvin (semperboost); it happened to him.

Yes, missing a gear and going lean from the limiter is about the worst thing you can do. Just stop the car, tow away from the track, park it in the ghetto and set it on fire and call the cops, it iwll be cheaper emoji
