That's another reason why NOS recommends an AT.

the autometer one has more led's meaning you'd get a better reading. if you want the BEST you'd want to get a digital readout one that outputs a number of the volts to a led screen. the autometer one has worked fine for me thou.

hey man... how accurate is your autometer A/F gauge? Does it max out? Did you have to modify it?

yes i do like it. when i floor it it goes green (the last green led, sometimes the last few are lit green, but usually just the last one) ie i'm running really rich. the autometer has a lot more led's than the other one and has worked fine for me. no it hasn't been modified to read a different range of volts or anything, it's the normal guage.

like i said before, they do sell ones that output the exact volt number, definately not as pretty as all the led's bouncing back and forth, but very very accurate. not sure how much they cost either. but i think u'll be fine w/ the autometer. (that and it matched the rest of my guages, nice and carbon fiber too)

if anyone still wants to know the answer to the BOOM question... it wouldn't happen, because you should wait until 2,000 or 2500 rpms to start spraying. you'd have to be in a gear to do this. my girlfriend sprays in my car, and if she can do it, i'm sure all of you can.

True, that the question is what if you miss a gear WHILE spraying... not before you start spraying.

I missed many a shifts with nitrous. Only a wet kit has the possibility of BOOM. First you shouldn't be hitting the rev limiter even if you miss a shift unless you are powershifting (in which case your an idiot) so nothing should happen either way. If you forget to shift or shift too late and hit the limiter nothing happens on a dry kit (I've done it a few times). fuel cut=no fuel=no explosion. just nitrous passing through the chambers wont hurt anything. On a wet kit fuel cut=fuel from the rail/nitrous nozzle-injector fuel that is normally there=not enough fuel=BOOM! I dont even know if thats possible since I'm not sure if the ignition is still firing at fuel cut. I do know missing a shift does not equal BOOM

just to ask.. everyone is talking about missing a shift.. dont you take your foot off the gas before you shift?? if you missed it.. wouldn't taking the foot off the gas turn off the WOT switch?? wouldn't that stop the NOS kit from spraying?? Im confused.. Thinking about getting NOS.. but keep hearing about BOOM, and blowing a valve or other scary things happening to the engine.. Anyone can explain the safety systems installed in a NOS system??

Yes it would and even if you didn't lift and powershifted and missed you are unlikely to hit the rev limiter unless your stuck in the previous gear. Usually you would be in nuetral and let off immediately once you missed the shift. Unless your bouncing off the rev limiter in gear (in which case your an idiot again) you are unlikey to harm anything.
