I would like to know which one is the safest? I don't really know how to tune that well. I was looking into one of the venom kits.

Venom is good cause if your running too lean it shuts down the system. But it's safe with the other kits too if you have an Air/Fuel Gauge I guess.

Hey DownAzzDSM, can you tell me all about the nitrous kit you have? It's the same one I'm looking at now. What size shot, how hard of install, how do you like it, size of bottle. I know these are alot of q's but I really like details on stuff before I decide to nuy it. How do you install it anyway?

The install is really easy if you know the main stuff about cars. It comes with directions, but they give you the wrong color specs for all the wires. If you do buy it, let me know and I can give you all the right colors. They give us the 4G63 wiring and not the 420A wiring. When I got the kit it took about 1 1/2 hours to install. The venom computers TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) activation point is too hight for our cars though, so you'll have to send the comp to venom and have them lower the TPS. They do it for free and they are really cool. The kit comes with everything you need. The computer, 4 different nozzle sizes, a 10lb bottle and all the wiring. After I got the comp back from Venom, it worked great. I love it now. The four different nozzles are color coded. From small to big. The problem is that they don't say what size shot they are. I have the biggest nozzle in right now. I think it's around a 60 shot. Any more questions? Feel free to ask.

I'm glad you don't mind me asking all these q's. I totally want this kit. A friend talked me out of a turbo kit. He said "you have to tune and maintain the turbo, It can over heat your engine and break other stuff." He also said "get nitrous oxide, you WON'T be disapointed." So I'm going for this kit.

Now, is this kit a dry kit? If so, how does it work with your car being that you have a 97 GS? I have a 99' GS. Is there any way to rig it to where it's engaged but doesn't kick inwhen I hit WOT. I like the Idea of a button on the steering wheel(not from FnF. I hate that movie) I just would like to use WOT in 1st and 2nd gears, then when I get to third give it some N2O. I'm sorry about these silly questions. I just like to find out a crapload of info before I spend my money. Can I get a purge valve for it? Bottle heater? Remote opener? I want to go all out and be as safe as possible(this is my only car). thanks man.

Yes it is a dry kit. The reason 96+ 2GNT's can use this kit is because it is wired into each injector and pulses them when the N2O is activated. It's a pretty cool idea. All of the "NOS" accesories will work with this kit. It's funny you should ask, cause I just ordered about everything you mentioned. The bottle heater is a must, the purge is more for looks and fun around town, you don't really need it, I think you have more use for it with a wet kit. But yes I am getting one too cause it looks sweet. Ok there two ways to engage this kit. It comes with a switch, which activates the N2O. You can floor it in 1st then second and let's say you want to activate it the middle of third, just flip the switch and it will hit. Kinda like a button. The other way is just to leave the switch in the activate position and it will hit when you reach WOT. Remember to never hit N2O under 3000 RPM's.

What should I buy before the kit? Should I wait for my 60K tune-up? I am at 56k right now. New plugs, EGT, A/F, N20 Press, new plug wires. The Venom nozzle replaces the fuel injector right? I am starting to like this kit more and more. A larger bore throttle body will help out right? (am I anoying yet?)

You can never be too safe, all those things are good to get. I would get colder plugs or (Bosch Platinum 4's which I use) and a set of good plug wires, if your still stock. No the Venom nozzle does not replace the injectors. There are 4 wires that tap into your stock injectors. The nozzles are for the N2O, they screw into your intake.

By Intake do you mean Intake manifold or My CAI? Where did you get those plugs and what gap do you have? Could you email me a pic of your setup under the hood? the_skinny_one@hotmail.com. I can't wait to get this done. I am going to kill a 00' civic si first thing after I get aquainted with N20. I can tell this will be hard work on my part, but well worth the cause emoji I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thanks for all your help man.

Yeah the CAI, about 6-8 inches from the Throttle Body. I got the plugs at PepBoys for like $24 for 4. They are pre-gapped for you so all you do is install them. Oh yeah I sent you some pics.

You are cool man. Thanks alot! I can't wait to do this. Does this kit shut it self off after a certain length of time of use? How long should I keep the pedal pressed or have the kit on? My freind tole me not to use it in 5th or I'll burn up my clutch but can I use it in 4th at about 4,500 - 5,000 rpm?

Looks tough to install. I like the engine bay. would it be posible to use the blowback hose hole on my cai and use a breather filter on the valve cover? I don't really need to hide the system(i'm not popping my hood so the guy can see what I have.) Do I have to mount it where you did? I want to keep the back seats for a while untill I can find a custom floor to cover the metal. is it possible to use two bottles?

You might be able to use that hole. The nozzle's have threads on them so you can screw them in. People usually put it in the trunk. I mounted mine there because I think it looks cool. (That's just me though) I'm not sure about the two bottle's thing. You might want to ask the other guys about that.

How much was your kit and where did you get it? I found it at http://www.ardperformance.com for 649(not including shipping). Should I do the 60k tune-up first? I already had the belts replaced at 52k.

I bought my kit from www.coximport.com for 650 shipped, but I found it on www.groupbuycenter.com for 550 shipped a couple weeks ago.It wouldn't hurt to get the 60K service first.

Hey DownAzzDSM,
I know this is off the topic, but are those crystal clear bumper lenses? If so, where did you get them and how much?
Thanks!
