#41510, "NOS & Mileage on my car!"

I have 136,000 miles on my car. I just got a NX system. Do you think its safe for me to run it in my car with that type of mileage. I mean my car is impecable, everything changed at right miles, best oil, everything. What do you guys think?? I am going to install it tommorow. If you guys think i should check somthing before i run it, let me know.

Thanks,
Eddie

Just check your compression. As long as they are good and pretty equel you should be good. Does the car smoke any or use any oil? 136k is allot of miles but as long as you take care of it, everything should be fine.

Nope, it dosnt smoke. Engine doesn't leak oil. Everything is tip top shape. I got the NX kit with the GENX2 package, so it brings that fuel pressure regulator thingie and everything. So you think ill be fine then?? I am about to start putting it in right now.

Thanks,
Ed

I would most likely go 50 shot instead of 75 with that many miles on it but then again I would stick the 75 in and blow it up...LOL My luck sucks sometimes<G>

honestly guys, the higher miles, the more the car will love the spray. The more ring gap will allow the swelling of the piston a little more and thus a safer shot. The increased heat in a tight engine can cause problems but in a well taken care of higher mileage motor will respond better due to the slightly lower compression. In a factory mustang you should not go higher than a 150 shot but with the 8.5 to 1 TRW steel pistons, I can spray 275 all day long just because the engine can take the increased cyl pressure. Its all basic math.
