I have a 97 with 97,xxx miles on it and running a 60shot, my engines been fine. I fried an O2 sensor at the begining but that needed to be replaced anyway around 100K miles.

Check and make sure all of your ignition parts are 100%. I would also upgrade to a little larger fuel pump. With 70,000+ mile you want to make sure that their is enough fuel going in with the nitrous.
