seems to add up quickly doesnt it... well from what i can tell sounds like a good deal, but im concerned on the whole wet and dry kit. I thought that we had to run a wet kit, so as to not detonate our engines with lack of fuel. anyone care to add, as im sure its been posted or asked before. Im tired and can barely type right now, so please bear with my ramblings..

Damn Myke, you are really doing it huh? Well I dunno about prices, this is not my area. You might want to consider calling Owen (I know) he is about the most knowledgeable "juice" man I know. He can tell you exactly what you should do. He is trying to get me to go juice, I don't think I am going to go there. But anyways, just my opinion. Just call and be cool and tell him you need some advice and then if things go well, ask him to get you a price for everything you will need. This might be a good way to get back in good with him.

Do NOT get a dry kit. Come on Mike, you should know this man, you have been here for a while. WET KIT ONLY on 96 - 99. 95's can use dry, thats it.

Thanks, I will check into wet kits. Sorry but remember I don't travel in this section much. emoji

This concerns me then, cause I don't think the sales guy on the phone at Summit knows that much then...he almost sold me a dry kit. Hmmmm

NOS-05208 IS A DRY KIT, DON'T BUY THIS ONE. That's summit's part number BTW.

NOS-05123 IS THE SUMMIT PART NUMBER FOR THE KIT YOU NEED.

Glad to be of service. Bitch slap the summit guy Mike, he would have blown your motor.

myke the guys at summit will sell you anything. I bought a nitrous works kit for $500 at the store by my house. It doesnt come with the purge but at least you can get started faster. Check at some shops around you and see what they charge. Definately make sure you get a wet kit. Whats with the water temp deal. Chances are you are not gonna use more than a 50 shot at first and even a 75 isnt really gonna do anything to your ride. Get the a/f, oil pressure, and exhaust temp if anything. I would order some zex nitrous plugs as well. They come pregapped really low so that the NOS doesnt blow out your spark and kill your valves. They are 3 pronged. Not that it makes 2 shits but i have had a good experience with them so far. I think i would mainly go with a/f at first. then get the exhaust temp and then the oil pressure later just to save you some money. A 50-75 shot wont do anything unless you dont give a shit about your car and drive like a mad man.

I would say get a REAL A/F, like the Corbin gauge or a modified one.
Also an EGT gauge is important and I would get that. The Oil pressure is a good idea the way our engines like to consume oil and spin bearings. I wouldn't worry too much about the fuel pressure unless you were built up and running 150 shot like some of the neons are.

um Kyle.... i think u mite be backwards pal... ?

I'm looking at this months summit sport compact catalog...pg 62 (second to last page)

Part Numbers....

DRY KIT > NOS-05123-P3P

WET KIT > NOS-05132*

Now, the dry kit listed says non-turbo through 96

the wet kit listed says TURBO.

Now I'm REALLY CONFUSED.

I am not ordering today. I will wait patiently until you guys respond.

Why do I need a water gauge you ask? Read above...I explained that one.

Now I won't buy the fuel pressure one if you don't think I need it...hell that's $170 ! I'd rather just get a a/f, water, and egt gauge or oil gauge.

Recommendations, plz.

MIIIKKKKKEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Go for a NX kit(nitrous express). Check with these guys, they had the lowest prices when i was checkin. like $479.00.
www.bottlefedracing.com
or
www.nitrouswarehouse.com
you can get EVERYTHING you need (heater, purge, blow-off, fuel saftey switch) from these guys in a kit, GEN 1, or GEN 2. check them also.

You guys are feeding him a bunch of shit. LOL! The NOS wet kit for OBD-2 NT Eclipse is 5208. The dry kit for OBD-1 NT Eclipse is 5123. The descriptions on summit are messed up. Also, forget about that water temp gauge. The 3 most important gauges for a 50-75 shot are A/F, EGT, and Nitrous pressure.

BTW - I have a NOS brand bottle pressure gauge that was only used for a couple weeks that I'm selling. I payed $50 for it but if you want it, it'll be $25 shipped. dougie2@mindspring.com

I'd go with.....

1. Whatever brand NOS kit you want
2. A bottle heater
3. DIGITAL A/F gauge
4. Nitrous Pressure gauge
5. EGT gauge
6. Also a header if you don't already have one

Most important are the DIGITAL A/F gauge(don't get the shit one) and bottle heater(got to have optimal pressure).....good luck Mike, glad to see you are going forced induction(this is how it started for me too!)
