#41395, "what kit is the best"

I have the following mods on my 98 GS:

Apex n1 cat back

AEM CAI

Bored TB

UDP

I want to get a 75 shot of nitrous in my car. I am auto also. I know I need a wet kit and I am leaning towrd NOS brand. Is that the best? I am not sure but I think the fogger is the best fo my car. WHat brands and what kits are the best for me. I would prefer a kit with everything I need (complete set up, gauges, etc.) Thanks.

Also, how much would someone charge to install it.

MODS:

HRC 16g turbo kit, Spearco custom FMIC, Custom IC piping, VT rebuilt engine: Custom 8.8:1 compression CP pistons, Eagle connecting rods, Melling oil pump, Clevite bearings, 370cc injectors, Vortech S-FMU, Apexi N-1 catback exhaust, AFX UDP, Autometer boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, EGT gauge, Corbin's digital A/F gauge, Tokico Blue shocks, Tein springs (1.5" drop), 18" Konig Verdicts rims, VIS stock-style Carbon fiber hood

In my opinion there isn't really a best kit out there. I've got the Venom VCN-1000 and it's great, but NOS and NX make great kits for our cars too. As long as it's wet kit and 75 shot or under, it'll be great. There aren't any "packages" out there like you are looking for, NX makes their Gen-X kit which has the nitro kit plus purge valve, bottle heater, and a few other nice to haves, but that's it. You'll have to buy all your gauges seperate. As for the install, it depends on your area, the kits are really easy to install so you might want to try it yourself.

Thanks.

From what I've read, NOS kits seem to be the least expensive.

After reading the nosnitrous.com site, I believe I'll need the fogger system, specifically the one for "4 cylinder fuel injected applications". Can someone confirm that for me, please?

Also, when it says "show kit", that just means it is polished or chromed for show car purposes right?

If I get the fogger kit, which of these accessories are REALLY recommended?:

Nitrous pressure gauge
Fuel Pressure Gauge
Nitrous Bottle Heater
NOS Comp Fuel System
Progressive nitrous controller
NOS Purge Valve

I think I only need the heater (for those NJ winters) and possibly the gauges. But are the gauges a must? I will be running a 75 shot.

Oh yeah... does this fogger system come with a enable/disable WOT option? I really like this feature.

I'm not sure on the "show kit" but that sounds right. The gauges aren't necessary, but they help. If I were you I'd get a Nitro Pressure, Corbin's A/F, and EGT gauge. They're very helpful when it comes to tuning your engine, or being able to tell if something's wrong with the system. Once again, the bottle heater and purge valve aren't necessay, they just help you. The bottle heater will allow you to squeeze more from your bottle and the purge will keep air out of the lines (air can cause minor problems). You definitely don't need any of that other stuff. If you're planning on running at the track you'll need a dump tube, even if you aren't it's a good idea.

Are you sure you know enough about N2O to safely run it? You might want to study some more before you buy it, the last thing I want is to see you blow your engine because you jumped into it blind.

I know what you mean. I am actually researching right now. I spent the whole day today researching and I plan to continue to do so well into the summer. I'll probably get a kit in the fall. I'm just gathering as much info as possible because truthfully I'm scared of killing my engine with the nitrous. Thanks for the reply.
