I've been trying to decide to what to do with my car here recently, go turbo or big nitro setup. After much thought, I'm going big nitro. I've ordered my Howell kit with 10:1 pistons, NOS direct port kit, larger injectors, and a S-AFC. I'm thinking of going ahead and getting a top end kit for it, or at least new cams. Do you guys think this is neccesary?
BTW: My current setup consists of this: AEM CAI, Greddy Headers, Apex'i exhaust,AFX UDP, Accell wires with NGK plugs, MSD ignition (just installed),AFX 55MM TB, P&P intake manifold, and a Venom VCN-1000.

grab some crane 18 or 22 cams, port the head, install bigger valves, remove a layer in the mls head gasket to give a .25 more in compression(average figure) run some clevite bearings, knife edge your crank, bigger throttle body(60mm)maybe a indiviual throttle body setup, do upgraded pt rockers or blackdog upgrade pt rockers, with pt lash adjusters, crane/crower valve springs
run a new ecu like the afx ?
could always bore it out to a 2.2 run aluminum rods and aluminum flywheel so it revs like a street bike...
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
