Today when I was at the track I was running rich as hell my friends told me I was shooting flames out of my tailpipe. This I know is not normal but I have to admit its kind of cool , anways how do I get it to stop before I blow something up? I have a HRC stage 2 turbo kit and the fuel system that came with it I've got the S-FMU in the back seat ready to put on I just need some money to pay my friend thats going to put it on.

cool.

ok, advice. running rich is fine as long as you're not saturating the cylinders. if you have an EGT you're probably low, if you are too rich then you'll have afterburn which will make EGTs go unacceptibly high. away from losing power, you are cool.

i like flames. have a nice day.

yeah, running rich is usually considered "safe". there's little danger of cracking piston rings at all as long as you leave your setup the way it is. then again, if things are well tuned there shouldn't be much in the first place. other than crappy gas milage and not as much power as you could get if you leaned things out a little, you're all set.

right now i'm running way too rich myself, but i'm waiting until the engine is broken in and i can get my datalogger working to accurately tune the fuel curves.

EDIT: ha! that was my 500th post!
