#40077, "Would a regular FMU work?"

Well I went to summit racing tonight, since they have a big 10% off everything sale goin on for the opening of their new retail showroom thingy. Well I told the guy that I wanted a SFMU, but he gave me a regualr FMU. Well now I am wondering if this will be good enought, because the price is a lot better than the SFMU. If not, I will go back up there tomorrow and get the SFMU. Are there different SFMUs? If so, which one do I need? What is the difference between the FMU and the SFMU? I know you have more control with the SFMU, but how? What is the difference? Thanks!

The SFMU has a totally different top lid on it. It has 3 adjustment ports on it, marked "vacuum", "bleed", and "boost". The SFMU can be very versitile, much more than the normal FMU. If you are planning on running larger than stock fuel injectors, i would go with the SFMU. Well i would go with it regardless, just because i love the way you can tailor it to run all different kinds of rise rates, ect..

Well I took back the regualr FMU and got the SFMU. It was only $260 at Summit since they opened their new showroom and had the 10% off everything sale. How good is this price? Seems to me like it's pretty good.

Thanks! Good to know I got a good deal. I just hope I didn't screw the thing up. Oh well, if I did, I know I can always take it back and get a new one.
