#40066, "New here and a question about fuel"

Whats up ladies and gents, just wanted to say hello. My name is Jonathan and I have a 1995 Eclipse with the following mods......

HRC Stage 2 w/ FMIC
Tanabe GPower Medallion catback
Howell 2.2L stroker ( still being built )
Crane turbo grind cams and valve springs.
Eaton PT Cruiser lash adjusters and rockers.
Fidanza adjustable cam gears
ClutchMasters Stage 4 w/lightened flywheel
Phantom Grip LSD
Vortech S-FMU
Accel 415cc injectors
MSD DIS-2
Apexi BOV and turbo timer
Blitz DSBC boost controller
NR white faced gauges
Autometer....boost, EGT, volt, and oil pressure gauges
Cyberdyne A/F gauge
Carbon fiber hood and dash kit
97-99 front end conversion w/clearcorners and markers
98 17"GSX wheels w/ Kuhmos
Power Stop drilled rotors front and rear
etc etc etc...

My question is tho, how do I know which disk to use in the Vortech S-FMU with the 415cc injectors? Any suggestions would be really appreciated as I am fuel tuning illiterate.

Glad to finally be part of 2gnt!!

You may have some trouble using just the SFMU to run the 415's. YOu can try running a low idle fuel pressure around 15 psi, and see what that does. I would start out with the 2.42" disk and ring, and the silver spring. Monitor your EGT's and A/F very closely when tuning. If you dont have one already, get the boost bleed valve on the SFMU to help fine tune you boosted fuel pressure rise rate. Its an optional vavle that screws into the "bleed" port ontop of the SFMU. I will always recomend to use a datalogger to monitor your fuel trims and real time o2 voltages when tuning larger than stock fuel injectors, if you can get your hands on a datalogger.

Thanks for the reply. By the way I have a S-AFC if that makes any difference. I plan on getting a Datalogger in the future, but being that I just spent $7,000 on my setup, I might have to wait for a month or two to recover. Just wanna know a good starting point, so that I can take my car to a shop to have it tuned on a dyno. Any other helpful recommendations are more than welcome. TIA.
