I highly doubt it, since the prototype is still on my car! There basically is one fitment issue that needs to be ironed out. From my car, its going on Matt_95tg's car to get dynoed for some numbers. This should be pretty soon, as my car is going to be down without a motor very shortly..stay tuned

Yeah but damn...look at the price, that does not inclde a cat converter. Kook custom or not, it is really steep. I think us SoCaler guys will wait for the ERT pipe, and do it as a group buy.

Edit...
Just check the site, I noticed the pricing dropped from the 3 bills to 250. What is the set price?

i think i'll stick with the ERT downpipe once it comes out. it's one of those things that i just seem to trust more because 2gnt'ers who have been around for a long time have already had prototypes made and tested on their cars (jason and matt) and ERT is company with a good reputation (i got my RFL from them very quickly, and it wasn't a bad price either.)

Well I am not having the Downpipes made anymore cause it would of been very small profits, lots of work, and lots of time. So I just had a Stainless Steel one made for my car. Just wanted yall to compare the Fit, Quality, Looks and Power Gains of my Downpipe to that shaddy ass looking ERT Downpipe with "Fitment Issues".

LOL, thats funny, especially since the kook dp looks identical to the ERT 1st design, except it uses shitty standard aluminized piping that will look like ass in 6 monthes emoji

also, the "fitiment issues" had to do with the different revisions of the Hahn exhuast manifold...something kook never even considered.

Might be just a hunch....but I am pretty sure my Stainless steel downpipe is going to last and look better than "shitty steel" ceramic coated. And do you have pics of the origanal ERT DP....it looks very different from mine. Mine has a longer and larger stainless flex section, smoother bends, lazer cut bracket, factory like O2 housing, and not even close to any "fitment issues". This downpipe bolted right up onto my car and one of my friends. None of this really matters cause I am not having the DP's made cause it is a waste of time, money and effort. But ERT's DP won't touch mine as far as Quality and Fit and Finish. We can compare when you get your ERT DP (If they figure out there "fitment issues" is the next year or so.)

Actually the only fitment issue is that the pipe is just barely touching the crossmember, right by the flex section. Noting a small bend wont take care of. The prototype on my car was basically cut and welded out of mandrel bent tubing, welded on flanges, and flex section. We noticed a slight variance in the HRC exaust manifold design, where the flange for the turbo is welded on that. Each and every HRC manifold is hand welded, and hence each one will NOT be identical as far as the turbo flange placement. Even if its a 1/8 inch off, that can cause problems with the whole setup. So even if your DP fits on your car, doesnt mean it will fit on 100% HRC turboed cars. There just isnt enough room for error in the DP for the tight clearance issues. Whatever pictures you saw of the ERT downpipe, is NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT!!! Its just a custom made DP that will be used to make the "Jig" for the final production piece, which will be of excellent quality, ceramic coated with the best coating you can get, and TRUE mandrel bent piping, and a 6" flex secton, and all the flanges welded on, with excellent tig welding. At the time of install, they only had a 4" flex section to play with, so the final one with the 6" section, there will most likely be more play in it, to allow for some misalignmetn/fittment issues. Possibly even 2 flex sections may be in order, we just dont know until I can get back out there for some more work. Unfortunately, i am very busy, and its hard to find time for all of the testing work. Just be patient, it WILL come out! Well worth every penny for it too!

What does your one-off stainless dp have to do with the pos aluminized dp's you were trying to pass off for $400, lol

Everytime i read one youd dp posts, I just had to laugh, trying to pass off standard issue aluminized piping as somethign special, lol

"smoother bends"-theyre mandrel bent, how do you have smoother bends when you also used the same mandrel bends. "factory like o2 housing"-its a fucking bung, lol. "laser cut brackets" - do you think ERT is using a damn hack-saw, lol? And the fitiment issues, its already been said, they have to do with the different HRC manifold revisions (HRC has what, 3 different designs so far?)...something You never even considered.

Waste of time, lol, your right, it was a waste of time when tyring to pass of standard quality products at premier quality prices.

Anywho, if this is going to turn into a flame war, im done...just remember: There was a reason no one bought into your dp's emoji

ps-just to make it clear, I am not associated with ERT in anyway. Just a interested 3rd party making observations.
