#39951, "STILL CUNFUSED ABOUT INJECTOR SET-UP!!!!!!! please help..."
Okay, i have done the searches, i have read corbins write-up (im not good with math), and i have asked around. NOW...
I am still unclear as to what size injectors to use with my walbro pump (255lph, i think) and which disck to use on the vortech FMU. (sfmu to much $ right now)
i am goingto run stock internals with no more than 7-9 psi boost! maybe a bit lower if thats deemed to risky for stock initernals.
So there it is, please help me!!!!!!!!
Are Accell 30lbs, 310cc injectors to big? If they are okay, is $100.00 for 4 new ones a good price?
What about RC engineering, 370cc?
Again please help!!! thanks

the 30lb Accel injectors are plenty big enough for 7-9psi. you will run the 8:1 disk, but you will most likely need a SAFC of SFMU to run them, cause it will idle very rich. at least my friends did. wit hthe 30lb and 8:1 disk, he was REAL rich at idle and it smoked black pretty noticeably. put on a SAFC, leaned out about 8%, and all was good.

Depends on what turbo setup your running. With the star kit, I've run 7lbs daily for about 45000 miles now with stock injectors and teh 12:1 disk. If you're going higher than that, I can't say from personal experience what would or wouldn't work. But, I will say that running 110+ lbs of fuel pressure is pushing it for me and I wouldn't go any higher.
However, if you're running hte hahn setup, I think it's designed to go up to 10psi on stage 2 with no fuel changes. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
Either way, if you go w/ the 30lb injectors, rumor has it that you can run them without an AFC or anything. I'm not sure what disk to use. Search for posts from Murix and armond (avengerEST) regarding Murix's car idling fine and adjusting for 440 injectors. If 440's can be accomodated, 30lbs should be no problem.

They use a SFMU to run those...he said he could only afford the regular FMU. either keep the stockers in there, or get the 30lb ones, and save for a SAFC or SFMU. www.TeamKLR.com 1997 Silver RS 12.3@118mph,20psi, race gas(drag radials) Wiseco 10.5 Pistons Eagle Rods T3/T4 Turbo Custom FMIC Greddy Exhaust 440's

Yeah, i run the SFMU and the 30lbers, with no SAFC. I run the 2.72" disk in the SFMU, and full idle pressure is around 21-23 psi, with good fuel trims. Static fuel pressure (o psi), is around 30 psi, and at 8 psi boost, fuel is around 65-69 psi, with good EGT's and A/F voltages in 4th gear WOT. I am thinking of running some 36 lb injectors after the rebuild and see how that works with just the SFMU and the Walboro intanke pump. I estimate idle pressure to be around 15-18 psi.

i already have the SAFC in, so thats not a problem. Thanks guys...gonna look for some 30lbs injectors! Tim
PS - what are some crossover injectors that work in our cars, ie: mustangs (yrs?), stealth, etc?

go to summitracing.com, and look at the Accel 30lb injectors. they are like 45 bucks a piece. i believe the individual part # is something like ACC-1050130. could be wrong though. www.TeamKLR.com 1997 Silver RS 12.3@118mph,20psi, race gas(drag radials) Wiseco 10.5 Pistons Eagle Rods T3/T4 Turbo Custom FMIC Greddy Exhaust 440's
