hey guys is time to install the SFMU just a quick question do i need to take off the fuel rail in order to be able to tap it or i can just tap it with it on the car ????

Well for the 96+ there is a service port on the fuel rail. No removing or tapping needed, just screw on a NPT fitting(dont remember what size).

It's the thing on the end of the fuel rail (or maybe the back on some) on the passenger side with a cap on it. Take the cap off, take out the shrader valve, then screw on a -4AN fitting.
