Hey everyone! Thanks for your help with my 0 vac issue. I mounted the fpr straight up and down, and installed the missing link. Its runnign great now!! I have the HRC stage2 with fmic. I have searched the forum for an answer with my next problem with no luch. Every once and a while, usually when my car is idleing, i will get the check engine light. I bust out my scan tool (scantool.net - only $80!) and it see its a p0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected. After doing some research on egr valves it looks like a signal line from the intake manafold runs to the egr system to let it know what to do. I rember when i installed the hrc kit i removed a signal line to put the bov signal line in. I figured the line went to the old fuel system or something. yes, im a noobie. Now that i think of it I dont think that makes any since, and that mabye that signal goes to my egr system and that is what is causeing this problem. The car is running great tho. the check engine light just bothers me!! Any ideas? 420A for life!! heh -etx

ogh yeah, anyone on the board from detroit?

Yes, if that vac line is disconnected, it will trip the CEL EGR code. Either hook it back up, or do the EGR blockoff. That vac line you took off goes to the EGR actuator solenoid, which opens and closes the EGR valve. With the vac line off, the EGR is not functional, which is why you got the CEL code.

Hey i got that vac line T'ed off and hooked up. Im still getting the cel. I dont want to disable my CEL, cause if thier is a problem i want to know before car goes boom. I have a 98 eclipse with HRC stage 2 fmic and full custom 2.5 inch exaust, no cat. I also have the missing link and a vortech sfmu. any ideas? why would anyone block off thier egr valve? what benifits does that have? Im already running without a cat, thats bad for the environment. emoji It would be nice if i could burn all the petrol before i shoot it out. Btw this is my daily driver. thanks
