Special Tools
- Wide variety of open end wrenches and a socket set.
- Variety of other hand tools (wire crimpers, wire strippers)
- Schrader Check Valve (tire valve) removal tool
- Teflon Paste
- Oil Pressure Sending Unit Socket 1 1/16" Size (can be purchased from Leslie tools - pep boys sells these)
- Lots of patience (fuel system work and fitting the intercooler piping can be tricky on your first attempt)
- Spark plug gapper

Here is a list of parts that I bought with my turbo kit. I've played it safe from the start and believe that most of the parts I've bought help to make a reliable and daily driven turbo eclipse.

I have also bought some fire hose to protect the air conditioning lines from the heat of the turbo downpipe. You can see the in my signature picture. The fire hose is not cheap but I think it is worth it. I believe I paid about $40 bucks for 4 feet of this hose.

The list:

Chamuko,

I will post the information about the firehose tomorrow - where I bought it, the inner diameter size, the lenght I bought, and the price. I just can't get to my receipts tonight but will do first thing in the morning.

Here is the website from which I purchased the fire sleeve hose from:

http://www.racerpartswholesale.com
(click on aeroquip and then fire sleeve hose protector)

I bought the following sizes because the two air conditioning hoses are of different diameter:

FBS1600 1" inner diameter 2 feet @ $19.20
FBS2400 1.5" inner diameter 2 feet @ $22.52

When you install the fire sleeve hose, you will have to cut it down the center, wrap it around the air conditioning hose, and then keep it in place with some tie wraps. It is an easy job - just time consuming. I did it this way because I did not want to disconnect all the air conditioning hoses and then slip the fire sleve hose on.

Hope this helps,
Kurt
