I need to buy a Walbro 255lph HP intank fuel pump. Is there a specific one I look for or are they universal or do I get one for a GST or what?

Also who has the best prices on these? Thanks

Howell had the best price last time I checked. Don't know if it's still that way or not. As far as part number, not sure. sorry.

alot of the time you can get them on ebay for $100 shipped with the install kit. Thats what I did. Because otherwise the cheapest I found was $110 w/ install kit and no shipping.

I was right there with him untill the light turned green.

Here is a post I made about the Walbro 255 lph High Pressure fuel pump (make sure it is the high pressure as they do make a 255 lph pump). Just a heads up, alot of people say that the Walbro pump makes noise but in my experience the pump made slight noise when first installed and then after a break in period the noise went away. I don't even hear it now. It does quiet the Accel in-line pump considerably but not totally. It is a very good mod to get rid of most of the fuel pump noise.

Here is a link to where I purchased it from and for how much:

Here is a link to my install update and what needs to be *slightly* modified:

Note: Also, I have read some posts that people say that the nut that attaches the hard line from the out of the in tank assembly is brazed on the line and if you break the braze you will have permanent leak. This is absolutely false. The nut is not brazed and you can remove it to get the fuel sending unit out of the car. Just be prepared to have your muscles handy that day and some WD-40 (I prefer Aerokroil as it works 100% better) because it is a bitch to get off emoji.

I agree about the problems w/ the nut.

However, I'm not sure that you need anything but the pump. I didn't get an "install kit." I got only the pump. I reused everything that was in my car already and only replaced the pump. I have had absolutely no problems. I also have the low pressure pump which has been sufficient for me as well (although if the prices are similar, having the HP pump would give you more room for error if you're running high fuel pressures).

Excellent! Thanks guys!

Hopefully it won't make too much noise, as I have all -6AN fuel lines, a high-flow filter, and 450cc injectors. Fuel pressure will not be high.
