Ok, tonight I went to run some errands and when I came home I looked into the engine bay after my turbo timer shut off and my fuel pressure was at 0. Then, after a second or two it built its way back up to 50 and stayed there then gradually fell after a while. Isn't the pressure supposed to stay at the idle pressure when the car is shut off? Why the heck did mine fall to zero then rise back up?

BTW I'm using the Cartech FPR for now (go figure) until my S-FMU arrives. Thanks guys.

No, fuel pressure will go down to 0 when the car shuts off. Sometimes it may take several seconds for it to do this, until the pressure has fully dropped off. If the fuel pumps are not on, then there will be no pressure (car off)

I agree with Matt. Some slight fuel pressure (10 - 15 psi) stays in the line for about 30 seconds after I turn the car off but eventually goes to zero. I am also running the Vortech SFMU.

Actually, fuel pressure should not drop. There is no reason for it to. The motor shuts down before the pump(s), so there should remain a constant pressure in the rail. Also, he mentioned that it not only dropped, but that it came all of the way back up to 50 psi. This sounds like a wacky gauge, in my opinion.
