Im currently working on getting parts for a turbo kit. So far I have gotten the stock intercooler. I know you can buy whole kits for non turbo cars for around 2000-3500, but im trying to get all the parts used so i can keep the costs down. What i need input on is if anyone knows a complete list of parts that ill need to turn a non Turbo to turbo. I have some info sofar such as to what turbo im gona purchase (Garrett T-25)just to keep it like a stock turbo. Now what I have is a 96 GS Eclipse. Ive been searching for the parts on ebay, but im not to sure if a 1G turbo header will fit a 2G. So as you can see i have pleanty of questions. Much thanks to those of you who can help. -Jasper
Here are some tips to get you started. Learn the differences between all the different eclipses. Read every post on this site that you can. Eclipses have many different engines. A 1g manifold won't fit. I suggest you learn the basics before you even consider doing a project like. No offense in any way, but it doesn't sound like you know enough to do this.
I agree, I realy dont know to much bout them. Thats why im lookin into some help. Tho I was wondering is there any type of diagram blow up of all the parts that go into place on it, like a Chilton manual? I think basicaly im gona end up buying a kit and havin someone put it in for me. Seems the best way, tho it would be fun to learn how to do it myself.
were here to help and learn i would not suggest doing it alone seek out someone knowledgable to help u in your area, might be a turbo dsmer in your area u never know...
u need a t25 and a custom manifold(Must be entirely custom only Manifold available at this point are old alain95i4's and our manifolds)
or u could get a garret t3 turbo and a custom manifold(made by me if u want)
u will need an oil line kit,(have these in stock) turbo,(can get these if u wish) manifold, if boosting very much need a bigger fuel pump a fuel system, ie rising rate regulator or 1:1 regulator witha 8 injector setup
if u choose to use an intercooler you'll need custom piping, if u dont have a 95 u need a missing link most likly
there maybe some little stuff i left out but thats about it
Check your compression before u go turbo!!!!!
a FULL rebuild is strongly recomended with Forged internals

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
