I think Sean is right and that GST should fit and GSX wouldn't. I remember reading that somewhere. Anyways, anyone know if the Evo is 2.5" or 3"? Will it bolt onto the HRC Stage II downpipe without a problem or will some conversion need to take place to make it fit?
I remember reading this question as well, but I'll ask once again for this specific exhaust. I'm planning to go turbo around the end of May or early June. At the moment, I have begun to plan out and order cosmetic parts; ie., body kit, rims, lighting and etc., Should I wait for the installation of the turbo kit and downpipe before I have the Evolution Cat Back installed?

THe HRC system is not entirely without a downpipe. It does come with a stainless-steel turbo to stock downpipe connection. The extent of stock downpipe modification includes cutting the top 6" or so (IIRC) of the stock downpipe. After the cutting is completed, you can fit the HRC stainless steel downpipe connection OVER the stock downpipe. It's a very snug sleeve-like fit that comes with a heavy-duty pipe clamp. Because of the bolt mounting for both the connector and the downpipe, it's clear neither are going anywhere(movement-wise).
The one source of "concern" I had was at the connector to stock downpipe mating point was a slight exhaust leak. I tried numerous times with various methods to attempt to tighten the pipe clamp over the stock downpipe with average success. In the end what worked was going to a muffelr shop and having them weld that point for $20. No problems since. Either way, a small exhaust leak at this point was neither noisy nor a performance hindrance. Just something I personally wanted to resolve.
From previous posts on the board and a phone call with HRC, they are apparently developing an upgraded (4g63)Eliminator style downpipe. I'm guessing it will have a 3" diameter.

Really, it might. There is not going to be a transfer case under the car. he car is not 4X4, it is AWD, meaning that the AWD option is in the transmission itself. Check it.
