just put the custom turbo setup on, a t3 with a smic. everything looks good. it start up good fuel presure 45-60 at ildel, vuc 15-20 but cant boost higher than 2 are 3 pounds check all the vucum hoses looks good check the intercooler all tight. wat im thinking is my exhust piping im still running on stock pipe with a muffer. bout to get the muffer shop to make me a 3in piping but that wouldnt stop me from boosting higher than 2 are 3 pounds would it.

you could have your idle fp about 47-55psi is good. hmmm bigger exhaust piping will help, and get a boost controller to up the boost up a bit. re-check all your intercooler piping for leaks.
good luck

A small exhaust piping can restrict you from making more boost. Also, there's gonna be some type of pressure drop along the intercooler and piping.

If you can only build 2-3 pounds, youdefinately have a big leak somewhere. The stock piping is not even close to that restrictive.

do the boost leak check, if that doesn't work you can always do the "wastegate boost signal hack" to the back of the intake manifold instead of the compressor housing. i got much better spool up that way, and when i was at stage 1 i got exactly 5 psi instead of 3 to 4.

When i was stage 1, i got 8psi w/ open downpipe, and only 3psi with the stock exhuast.

stage 1, so there was no where for boost to leak, and as soon as the downpipe was unhooked, 8lbs...
