It's time to perform the ritual flush and fill of my tranny and was planning on using the B&G Syncro Shift. I was wondering if anyone knew how many quarts I will need and whether they have any experience with this stuff? I've heard it's good, but now I'm looking for 1st hand experience if there is any...

A touch over 2 qts but I'd just use the factory fill. BG is good but our car uses a specific and expensive recommended fill.

When should you replaced the tranny fluid anyway? It's MT right? so you don't need to change it that often. I just topped it off last year. Oh yeah do you use that Texaco MTX fluid or something? My auto teacher gave me some expensive stuff he had in jeep but I don't think it was the kind your suppose to put in there.

I'm not sure the interval, but I am pretty close to 60K miles and I know I need to have it done... just a guess really...

I did have the trans fluid changed at 15K by a local shop here and they said to only use "the OEM Mitsu" fluid. Talking to a few speed shops here, they said the Syncro Shift is better than the Mitsu OEM fluid...

Maybe Bill could clarify this for us... What does Len use in his Neon? Trannys are the same, right? What about the HRC RS? What have you used?
