Has anyone ever done this? I saw it in the new issue of Turbo. An older Nissan Sentra has the air outlet connected back to the intake side of the turbo. I don't see how much this will help. For 1 I figured it lowers the sound of the BOV when it vents and 2 the turbo is already sucking in a lot of air, what would a little charge of air do for it? Though it is cold air because it's coming from the intercooler to the intake mani. Let's hear the comments.

The factory turbo DSMs recirculate the air from the BOV back into the intake because they use a MAS. If they vent to atmosphere without having an EMS, it will mess up their fuel trims because the stock ECU uses the MAS to meter the air. Since our cars don't use a MAS, this is not necessary.
I don't think it would make our BOV that much quieter either because we have aftermarket intakes. My friend has a TSI and the BOV was quiet when it was stock, but as soon as he put a K&N filter on it the sound was MUCH louder.
So I don't think it would benefit our cars at all to recirculate.

The Sentra's use a Mass Airflow sensor like our turbo DSM cousins. They need to vent back into the intake or have problems with 'lost' air, ie. the car will run rich.
