#37846, "Update: ERT Downpipe for HRC cars"

I am currently scheduled to head over to Chicago on Feb 1st to complete the ERT downpipe project. My car should be back up and running again by the middle of next week to head over there. I will also be getting a baseline dyno run along with another dyno run after the ERT downpipe is installed so I should have some solid numbers for you guys. Just thought I'd share that with ya emoji

Yea, I'd like to get 2 runs at around 8 psi and 1 run around 14-15 psi. Hopefully I can get everything up and running good enough to do that in 3 days haha. x'ing fingers. Matt, if you wanna come with that'd be sweet man. I'll be leaving on the morning of the 1st, so you would have to take that day off of work probably. Let me know whatcha wanna do.

Shouldnt take too long, the dp is already built. All we have to do is slightly modify it and put a bracket on it. Basically just picking up where we left off with Jason. But you will see the finished product become available after this.

Matt and I should be there on Saturday. If for some reason, matt can't get his car up and running in time (fingers are crossed that he does), then I can use my car to finish it off. Matt is trying to get on the dyno on saturday morning(yep cuttin it close), so we can have some good dyno info for all to see. This should be fun emoji I'll take some pics while we are there possibly. 280 sounds like a damn good deal too.

Specs:
16ga Mandrel bent 2.5" tubing
Ceramic coated INSIDE AND OUT
2PC design, with high temp gaskets.
Bolts to 2.25, 2.5 and 3" Flanges (no need to swap cats etc)
SS flex section, high quality not low grade muffler shop junk (we use Jagco premium only with these)

Cost will most likely be: $280
Add on a 2.5" SS cat for 60 more (modified by ERT for stock bolt pattern, we retail them for 80) This includes the high temp gaskets as well. I can check to see what I can do about 3" cats etc, they will bolt up to the downpipe, but you will have to modify the catback flange if it is not universal or stock pattern.

Lifetime warranty on the pipe protecting it from defects (not damage from abuse)
3 year warranty on the coating protecting it from scratching, peeling, chips, rust, or discoloration.

A lower price is a possibility for the first 10 emoji 250 or so emoji

The gaskets are 6.50 each, comes with (2) 2.25" 2bolt gaskets and (1) 2.25" 3bolt gasket
If you buy the cat, you get an extra 2.25" 2bolt.

The gaskets are OEM for the exhaust flange (2bolt) We have tried every gasket under the sun in my turbo v6 Avenger. These seal the best, and the longest. I was replacing other gaskets almost daily as far back as the cat due to them either burning up, or getting blown out. These are stainless steel outside, composite inside, and a fire ring to prevent blowouts from backfire.

sounds like a sweet deal. i was just wondering if there will be a BIG difference between the stock cat, and getting the new 2.5 cat (catco ?) from you?.. will there be a big difference in flow since it will be 2.5" then cat 2.25" i believe then my catback 2.5" again?.. i live in so cal so i wanna make sure my cat no matter what is good if you know what i mean.
well you can count me in for the $250 hehe
about the gasket size 2.25" is there a difference since its a 2.5"dp setup?
hehe

The cat is your choice, 2.5 or 2.25 both the same price. They are CARB legal replacements. I have higher flowing units available, they are not legal and 100 bucks. There is a slight difference in the high flow cat, mostly at higher RPM the car pulls alot better and just the response is crisper.

The gasket for the lower section of the pipe is 2.50" (sorry my mistake) but the rear gasket to the cat is 2.25" The restriction is minimal at best, reason I have to use 2.25 there is the 2.5 gasket will not bolt to stock pattern. I buy in bulk, so if you want I can toss in a 2.5" gasket for those buying the cat. The turbo discharge gasket doesn't matter as the exit is smaller anyways.

>talked to my bud about buying one and i just want to make
>sure if i get the ert 2.5"dp only it will bolt up to the stock
>cat,

Yes, if you choose not to buy a modified cat, it will bolt up to the stock cat. * The dp comes with a 2.5" flange and gasket, which will bolt up to your stock cat or a 2.5" cat. If you have or want a 3" cat, we have something in the works to accomodate it.*

and also does it come with a bracket that bolts to the
>engine under the turbo? or do we use our stock one? do you
>know what i mean?

There will be a bracket welded to the Dp so that all you have to do is bolt it to the engine in the stock exhuast mounting location.

also if we ship 2-3 of your ert dp to one
>address would we save on shipping ?

Ill have to look into that, hehehe
