the tip of my egr sol. keeps melting off(the port that goes into the egr valve). Has this happened to anyone else? How do I fix it without doing block off, sets cel every time
Thanks
Danny

Hose clamp it in place. It's melting because it's blowing off and then being bathed in hot exhaust gas from the valve.

Or, just block it aff and remove the whole system. CELs are cool emoji

I have already tried clamping it on and it still melts off. Any other ideas? Also is there a way to block the egr without setting a cel?

Depends on the year of the car. Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no.

Try it, and follow all the recommendations outlined in the posts here (search for them) and you may be able to keep the CEL away.
