Just wondering, can you tap oil from the oil plug?

What are pros and cons to this?

Thanks

pros- none

cons- your turbo will live a short life from getting no oil. (the oil in the pan just sits there. There's no pressure forcing it to the turbo)

Yea, the oil pan is exactly that. Just a pan the oil is gathered from. There is NO pressure in there, so the oil will not get fed.
Just use the oil pressure sensor to tap for oil. I believe everyone will agree with that.
